Hi there, I´m Ariana
I’m a makeup artist, hairstylist, photographer, and retoucher from the Czech Republic, and I’m delighted to bring my creative journey to Dubai. Everything you see in my portfolio is crafted entirely by me—from the makeup and hairstyles to the beautiful dresses from my collection and the photo studio I built myself in Prague.
Makeup artist and hairstylist
I originally studied creative writing at university and, after graduation, briefly worked in marketing. But my heart was always in makeup and all things beauty. It’s the one thing I felt I was really good at. So in 2013, I decided to follow my passion and become a makeup artist. I dove into learning all the techniques and trained with the best in my craft. Just a few months in, I was fully booked. What I loved most was seeing how happy and confident my clients felt with my makeup.
Photographer and retoucher
Becoming a photographer was never part of my plan. In 2016, I bought my first camera to capture my makeup work for Instagram. I let the camera sit unused for months because I felt overwhelmed by the tons of buttons and technical aspects. However, I promised my model friends beautiful makeup and maybe a photo if they volunteered to pose for me as I learned. The night before my first photoshoot, I watched a YouTube tutorial to find out how to use the shutter button. The next day, I dove in headfirst and instantly fell in love with photography. The results of my very first shoot launched my unexpected career as a photographer.
Studio
I started shooting portraits in my kitchen, which had the largest window. When other photographers asked about my professional lighting, I would joke that it was "God’s light blessing my creative endeavors." As my photoshoots outgrew my kitchen, I began building my first photo studio in Prague in 2017. I love having a space where I can unleash my endless creativity, filled with everything from princess-like dresses, flower swings, and Roman columns to angel wings made from ostrich feathers. I prefer creating photo decorations and props myself, even if it means enduring bruises, glue gun burns, or the occasional entanglement in Christmas lights.
